The room

This room is breaking out, of itself,
cracking through its own walls.
In search of space, light, empty air.
The bed is lifting out of its nightmares.
From dark corners, chairs are rising up, to crash through clouds.
This is the time and place to be alive:
When the daily furniture of our lives stirs,
when the improbable arrives.

Męskie wnętrze- harmonia i spokój

Przedstawiam projekt wnętrza budynku mieszkalnego parterowego dla osoby zajmującej się tworzeniem muzyki (produkcja). W budynku oprócz salonu, gabinetu i sypialni mamy również studio nagraniowe. Męskie wnętrze to harmonijnie dobrana kolorystyka w obrębie kolorów naturalnych i ich pochodnych. Na podłodze zamiast litego drewna gres drewnopodobny (prawie niezniszczalny;). W kuchni projektowanej na wymiar znajdują się „ukryte” drzwi do istniejącej spiżarni będące fragmentem zabudowy kuchennej. Na ścianach oszczędne dekoracje w postaci grafik ściennych w czarnych ramach. Dosyć istotnym elementem jest spiek kwarcowy jako materiał, z którego zostanie wykonany blat roboczy. Powyżej blatu mamy ciemne (właściwie czarne) płytki gresowe ścienne, imitujące naturalny kamień. Płytki dekoracyjne stanowią akcent i zostały powtórzone również przy kominku w formie pionowego pasa (lekko podświetlanego).

Kiedy rozpoczynałam prace nad projektem tego wnętrza zastanawiałam się co dla mnie oznacza męskie, i w jaki sposób może się to męskie tym konkretnym projekcie przejawiać. Męskie kojarzy mi się z pewnym rodzajem minimalizmu, a właściwie ze zwięzłością formy i czasem treści. Męskie kojarzy mi się również ze spokojem, i pomimo swojej prostoty z przytulnością- mam nadzieję, że udało mi się uzyskać taki właśnie efekt.

Men’s interior – harmony and peace

I present the interior design of a one-story residential building for a person who deals with music (music production). In the building, in addition to the living room, home-office and bedroom, we also have a small recording studio. Men’s interior is a harmonious selection of colors within natural colors and their derivatives. On the floor instead of solid wood, we have wood-like gres (it is almost indestructible;). In the custom-made kitchen, I created „hidden” doors to the existing pantry that is part of the front kitchen furniture. Rare decorations on the walls in the form of wall graphics in black frames. A quite important element is sintered quartz as the material from which the worktop will be made, as well as dark (actually black) porcelain tiles on the walls imitating natural stone. Decorative tiles represent an accent and were also repeated by the fireplace in the form of a vertical strip slightly illuminated (from the left).

When I started working on the interior design, I was wondering what masculine means to me, and how masculine can be interpreted in this particular project. I associate men with a kind of minimalism, actually the conciseness of form and time of content, I also associate it with calmness, and despite its simplicity with cosiness – I hope I was able to achieve such an effect.
